Costs.

 

The Department of Veterans' Affairs has given us $5,000 which will go towards the cost of the "Meet and Greet" which will be held at the Kedron Wavell Services Club.  You can see the letter HERE.

 

As well, we have received from Kedron Wavell RSL Sub Branch a cheque for $4,500 and the Queensland Government donated $5,000.

That means we can subsidize all activities so the all up price to you, after Sambo gets back from Rio with what's left, will be between $50/$60 per head which will get you to everything, except the XXXX tour.  You can go to individual events should you wish and we will have individual costs out soon.

 

We want you to pay this at the Meet and Greet - please pay in cash. Do not send any money to me before hand.

Welcome to the reunion pack.

If you are staying at the Oaks, one will be placed in your room. If you are not staying at the Oaks, you can pick yours up at the Meet and Greet. They include

 

  • Photos of aircraft

  • A bottle of wine - with the RTFV/35Sqn label

  • A RTFV/35Sqn pen

  • Assorted squadron merchandise.

  • A DVD containing photos of RTFV/35Sqn personnel, aircraft, tasks. (This DVD has been produced by "Hi-Teck Ted" the Mac from the West).

Sunday 26 Feb.

 

Meet and Great. (Starts at 12.30pm)

Finger food, coffee and tea. Your drinks are at your own cost but if we can get Sambo in a good mood, he promises to put some cash over the bar.

 

Sausage Sizzle.

This will be held in the pool area at the Oaks Apartments, starting about 7.00pm, after the Meet and Greet, (5th Floor) and covers beer, wine, soft drinks and food. All inclusive.

 

 

Monday 27 Feb.

 

Caloundra

Trip to Caloundra (includes bus fare - dep 7.30am), entrance to the Air Museum, morning tea, (the museum will run the Caribou engine), lunch at the Caloundra RSL, (beverages are your own cost).

 

Pizza

Free pizza in the pool area at the Oaks Apartments that evening, (5th Floor) this also covers beer, wine, soft drinks.

 

 

Tuesday 28 Feb.

 

Aerospace

Trip to Aerospace, includes bus fare.

 

Formal Dinner.

Buses leave from the Oaks from 5.30pm to Kedron Wavell Services Club. Dinner includes a 2 course meal, entertainment, but drinks are at your own cost - once again, if we can get Sambo in a good mood he will toss some money over the bar.

(Entertainment will be provided by Eric Evans and his band of Renouns).

 

 

Wednesday 29 Feb

 

Plaque dedication at the Central Shrine in Anzac Park in Ann St. The ceremony will start at 9.30am. It will be completed by 10.30am.

 

XXXX Tour.

Catch train from Central to Milton station about 1.00pm (your cost). You can decide whether to do the full Tour or just watch the educational film on the history of beer (1-2 hours) etc. This tour will be an extra cost, $35 per head, which includes the tour, drinks at the bar and dinner afterwards.
